Who We Are

The Spirit Lakes Improvement Association is proud to give back to the community through volunteer efforts and donations that support local programs, schools, and outdoor traditions. From volunteering at local fishing tournaments and fundraising events to supporting youth education and school activities, we are committed to helping strengthen the communities that surround and support our lakes.
Our members proudly volunteer for events including the
Rib Lake Fish and Game Walleye Tournament,
F3 Fundraising Events,
Rib Lake Fish and Game Ice Fishing Contest, and the

We also support local youth and education through donations to the

June 2026 -- Enhanced Wake Boating update
The Towns of Rib Lake and Spirit have passed the ordinance prohibiting extreme wake boats on Spirit Lake.
Thanks to members Joe Pysyk and Fred Silloway from the Lakes at Stake Alliance for their assistance. Also to Joe Knorr, Town of Rib Lake and Darrell Lind, Town of Spirit. This has turned out to be much more work for the townships than originally anticipated.
** Remember this only prohibits the “extreme wake boats”. This does not prohibit existing watersports (fishing, jet sking, tubing, waterskiing etc).
As always, be considerate of fishermen and stay 100’ from docks and other watercraft.
